Heytesbury House is perfect! My 3 siblings and I were revisiting Cobden where we grew up and we were so glad we stayed here. We were warmly welcomed by Kathryn and shown around this historical house which began as the local hospital and doctor’s surgery and residence. We were shown the 4 bedrooms and each was tastefully furnished, had private bathrooms with luxurious toiletries and comfy looking beds. There was also a sitting room, dining room and various seating areas on the veranda for our private use. We highly recommend taking up Kathryn and Andrew’s offer of an evening meal, 3 superb courses! The beds not only looked comfy, they were comfy and the house is on a quiet street so we all had an excellent night’s sleep. Then it was back to the dining room for breakfast and there was an amazing range of breakfast options to choose from. And just as dinner was superb , so was breakfast. Thank you Kathryn and Andrew, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.- Terry & Lynn

Jaw dropping history and beauty. This place was the favourite part of my trip, it holds such beauty and luxury. The comfort and practicality of all features was fantastic. Can not fault it, clean, comfortable, homely and the staff are just wonderful.-Lauren, au

Plunge into 1904 and feel like you’re visiting. Amazing place, delicious breakfast, convenient location if you are travelling along the big ocean road. The owners do everything themselves, you feel like you are a guest. Cozy common space. The bathroom is a special delight. Taking a hot bath after the journey was very appropriate.- Goncharova, th

Took our grandparents around the Great Ocean Road and stayed at Heytesbury House. It was better than I expected, exquisite interior design and furnish. The hospitality is exceptional. I had a peaceful stay and the best sleep in a long time. Leaving with a satisfied tummy, replenished soul :)- Leonora

Heytesbury house was an all round delight for my family and I. Accomodation was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children, the food was delicious, great coffee and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. My family and I would stay there again any time we have the need to be near Cobden. The children commented on the way home about, “when can we stay there again” they loved the books and games provided for children in the beautiful sitting room.- Anita D
