Dennington’s Day Out is hosted by St John’s Primary School. 2019 is the eighth year of DDO and it is growing every year, with an expected attendance of 3000-plus eager DDO-attendees. The event encourages community partnerships with a large range of clubs and associations, childcare centres and kindergartens involved. As well as forming community connections, it is also a fundraiser for the Dennington Cricket Club, the Dennington Football Netball Club, the Dennington Bowls Club, and the Dennington Kinder.
It is a fun day out for the whole family, with a huge range of rides for the children, including a bucking bull and inflatables, a vast array of food trucks catering for every taste, a pop-up shop market with great quality items, a petting zoo and animal farm, assortment of entertainment including dancers and singers, and many free activity stations for children to play and create such as a messy play station and a recyclable imagination area.
There has been support from many local businesses to allow the day to continue growing each year. DDO are able to offer free entry which provides an opportunity for everyone to be involved and have some fun. Unlimited rides wristbands can be pre-purchased for $20 or on the day for $25.
This year Dennington’s Day Out is on Sunday November 10, 2019 at 11am until 3pm and is definitely an event to be added to the calendar.
